Chinedu + Ebony | Destin, Florida

If rain on your wedding day is symbolic of a long and wonderful married life, Chinedu + Ebony will not be in short supply of happiness.

In a stretch of about 60 something weddings, we have not had a wedding completely rained out, but the weather forecast for Saturday called for 100% chance of rain.

And boy, did it rain. It was like a tropical storm was coming through the area, with high winds and drenching rains- I could see how crestfallen Ebony looked when the decision was made to move the ceremony under the tent instead of out on the beach.

But you know what? Chinedu + Ebony still had an absolutely fabulous and amazing wedding, because they were surrounded by the love of so many who had come to witness the union of their lives. At the end of the day, a marriage is about how well you weather the storm. :)

Every now and then, I will have a session that just blows my mind and gives me the warm fuzzies. Working with Kristin + Joel was just that- even though we are getting ready to move into the autumn months, it warms me all up inside when I look at these images. Almost every single image made me catch my breath… Kristin, you are truly breath taking. I can’t wait to work with you again.

Wished we could have celebrated in Baton Rouge with you!

While it’s no secret that we love all of our couples, it’s especially true for Abbey + Denson. Abbey booked us almost a year ago to shoot her sweet Alys Beach wedding and I knew when I met her that this was going to be a day that we would cherish. Abbey + Denson are made for each other in every way possible… God truly made a soul mate for the other in this couple and we loved witnessing the union of these two souls.

During the ceremony, the family surrounded Abbey + Denson and prayed for strength in their marriage and in their faith. It was such a lovely day.

In mid June, I had the opportunity to spend some time with the Latham family while they visited Seaside, Florida, for their annual family vacation. I spent the entire week with them, documenting their family and friends who made the trip down for Benson’s 40th birthday party in Watercolor, and then another celebration at the Great Southern Cafe in Seaside. But what I loved most was getting to photograph the family together on the beaches, and here are a few of my favorites.

Joanna, thank you for inviting me along, I had so much fun and I can’t wait to make this a yearly event! :)

I don’t think kids get much cuter than this bunch. :)
