Normally, I would post a little letter to all of you, but this year, I am writing this to myself.

2011 was a beautiful year. As Michael and I sat in our living room with our champagne and our two furry babies, I have nothing but gratitude for all the highs and the lows… I do not usually post personal things about my life on this blog. Not because my life is so interesting, but just because this is a place where hopefully you come to be inspired and to feel something- a different state of mind. Creating art is a state of mind, a state of being. There is so much PERSONAL in it, and so much of my life and the little joys, hurts, smiles, tears… all these things go into creating. So whatever it is that our images can make you feel, as long as you feel it, that is my purpose. :)

Thank you, 2011, for bringing in new friends, bringing back old friends. For a fantastic and fulfilling career, working with people I adore. For finding film at just the right time, and maybe for it finding me. I discovered new places and new people through my camera. I was brought closer to my husband for reasons that I could never verbalize. I love him more than ever. I fell in love with the art of CREATING- not just for our sweet clients, but also art for myself. I finally freed my vision and I remembered why I love to create. It is something I find joy in every, single, day.

There really is nothing better than the place I am in, right now. GRATITUDE. Immense gratitude.

2012 has big shoes to fill. So excited you are all along for the ride! XO!

Tiffany + Jason’s wedding was an amazing expression of love for each other and love for the Lord- as the couple joined their hands, they chose to have a worship service to begin their marriage. Oh, joyful day!

I adore the moment they realized that they are “officially” man + wife! Look at those faces!

Daddy +daughter dances are so sweet. They go from tearful…

Justin was playing football at Louisiana-Lafayette University when Hurricane Katrina forced him to evacuate to the Florida panhandle, where he met the lovely Samantha… Proof that God’s hand is in every situation. Justin + Samantha and Michael + I became quick friends, these two have amazing hearts and we could not wish them more love + happiness in their marriage.
