AWOL!

Hey everyone,

I guess you are thinking I have just gone AWOL but I promise I haven’t :)
I have been remodeling and getting ready to open my studio here in my home! I am so excited to get all the pictures posted, but I am patiently waiting for the wall galleries to arrive! I promise I will get them hung and pictures taken as soon as it’s all ready.

Lizzie + Jesse, Wakulla Springs Lodge

Lizzie and Jesse were married on February 28 and let me say that this is probably one of the coolest weddings I have ever shot! Lizzie has been planning this gorgeous vintage wedding for months, and the whole day went off seamlessly. Originally the couple had planned to get married in front of a gigantic oak tree near the lodge, but in the end, with threatening rain, the whole ceremony had to be moved inside. But Lizzie, being the cool head she is, said “no worries!”.
The inside of the lodge had this gorgeous stone hearth, and Lizzie had family and friends run out last minute and buy pillar candles for the mantle for a candlelight ceremony. And let me tell you, it was absolutely stunning.
This is a LONG post, so sit pull up a chair and relax, because there were seriously so many things I loved about this wedding, I went a little crazy shooting.
Lizzie and Jesse, I am so proud to call you both my friends. Lizzie, i’m so proud that I have a friend that loves “antiquing” as much as I do! :)
Your wedding was gorgeous and I loved all the thought and detail you put into your day.

My jaw dropped when I saw her dress. Lizzie had been describing it for months to me but nothing could prepare me for it. It looks ivory but it’s actually a rose color!

rocking {out}

Hey everyone! If you have tried to reach me via email the past couple of days, you probably know I have been MIA. I attended a rocking workshop (of which I cannot confess all the details just yet :D but you know who you are!) and I am totally refreshed and ready to take my business to a new level. In the next few weeks be prepared to see exciting new changes at LKP!
MORE EXCITING NEWS! I am working on my new studio space and it is going to be revealed in the next couple weeks as well!! So for all my clients, you will now be able to come see me there! How awesome is that? :D
Just wanted to give you a quick update, I am sorry if I haven’t responded to your email but when I got back I literally had a flood of emails to return, so just be patient! I will respond soon.

Angela + Ted’s Album

Remember Angela + Ted? I shot their BEAUTIFUL beach wedding back in November of last year, and I am just getting ready to place a sample album order for the LKP studio! I just love this album, it is absolutely gorgeous!
This album was a little different in the design process. I wanted to try my hand at designing something unique, so I designed an 8×20 album. So it’s super skinny when it’s closed, but when you open it, the full spread opens to an awesome 16×20!

Robin + Titus 1-31-09

Robin and Titus and I go back many many months ago when they were in the super early stages of planning their wedding! I just knew that day when I first met them that we were going to become great friends.
We quickly started planning their engagement session and we had a great time running all over downtown Tallahassee and FSU when they were both working for FSU Athletics.
They were married this past Saturday, and I was so honored to be there to witness how much love they share for each other and their family and friends. Robin and Titus, thank you for welcoming me into your lives. I look forward to seeing your love continue to grow and flourish in the coming years.

We started out the day at Athena Salon and Spa in Tallahassee. I just love that place! They use all natural Aveda products and they smell so yummy!

The reception was held at FSU’s University Center Club and it is absolutely one of my favorite places to shoot.

Titus and Robin are HUGE baseball fans and this was seriously the coolest cake I have ever seen! Katie did a fabulous job.

My awesome second shooter Lisa and I pulled Robin and Titus for a little lovey dovey time. I saw this on the back of the camera and squealed “pure magic!!!”

the 1:33 a.m. blues

One has to wonder what the heck I am doing up at 1:33 in the morning. It could be because I have been sick and feeling like death warmed over the past week. Or it could be…worrying mostly. There is a flurry of things going through my mind right now, some things I can’t say just yet. It’s freezing in my office and I can’t feel my toes. Annnnyway i’m sure that you all have had those sleepless nights too.
Well, i’m off to watch I Love Lucy and hopefully drift off to sleep.
And since no post without a picture is worth even posting, here is one from Robin and Titus’ engagement session I shot a few months back. They are getting married this weekend!!
