First up, Melanie + David’s south beach soiree was featured in the absolutely stunning Atlanta Wedding Magazine’s Fall/Winter 2011 issue.
Atlanta Weddings has one of the prettiest magazines in the wedding world, and you can pick up your copy at Publix, Kroger, or Barnes and Noble. If you missed their wedding, you can check that out HERE!

We also had a fabulous feature with Florida Bride Magazine Fall Winter issue 2011, the always sweet Abbey + Denson’s wedding was featured in a double page spread, on the left as an ad for Visit South Walton, and on the right, a story and image from their wedding. First up, Susan + Matt’s Rosemary Beach destination wedding was on The Knotty Bride! Check out Alison, she is one of our favorites and so witty! Love her!

Next, the lovely Amy at The Knot contacted us about a favorite cakes feature they were putting together, and asked to feature Jana + Brent’s cake from their Destin wedding back in October. I don’t blame her, it was one of our favorites too by the amazing Confections on the Coast!

We also had another feature with Wedding Channel for Meredith + AJ’s Rosemary Beach wedding!

Lauren Grove, the editor of Every Last Detail, also featured a styled shoot in 2 parts, that Shelby Peaden Events and I put together last September at Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, Georgia. Love the way this turned out! Thanks, Lauren! You rock!

And then a big surprise came our way when we found out that the always lovely Kat of Cinema Chic Productions had been featured on the cover of Event DV magazine, a nationwide distribution for videographers, with guess-who’s photo on the cover? Ours! :) We are so excited and happy for Kat, she is a wonderful videographer in South Florida and her talents are endless!

Maureen + Andy came from Atlanta with only a handful of their closest friends and family for an intimate seaside wedding. Instead of having several attendants, they chose to stand alone and pledge their commitment to God and each other in marriage. Maureen looked stunning in her beautiful Melissa Sweet gown from Priscilla of Boston, and Andy’s brother sang a song that he wrote for the couple, called “Alchemy”. It was simply, a beautiful wedding. Thank you Maureen + Andy for having us, we would love to spend the day with you anytime!

Michael + I also shot a couple rolls of film, which I will show you in another blog post, but I had to show you one of my favorites from the B/W roll. Ohhh the grain. :)

We wanted to stretch ourselves creatively and in a fun, relaxed kind of way without the normal time constraints of a wedding day. We were thrilled with the results! :) We had two concepts for this shoot, an ultra romantic Southern Garden theme, and a Soho meets Southern Couture look. We were so fortunate to have teamed up with a talented list of vendors who each brought something unique and beautiful into this shoot, and we are so grateful to have such wonderful friends and peers who wanted to chip in! :)

I love October for so many reasons, there is that little chill in the air and everything just seems so fresh and beautiful. But mostly, I love October because it is a beautiful month to have a wedding in (I should know, we just celebrated our 2 year anniversary on October 25th!) :D
Jana contacted us last year and knew immediately that she wanted us to shoot her wedding, and after hearing all the plans Jana had for her wedding, we knew that we were going to really love working with her! :) I was also excited to work with my good friend Shelby Peaden of Shelby Peaden Events again, Michael + I really love working with Shelby and her impeccable eye for design.
I have often said that one of the things we love most about our job is the connections we make with couples and their families, but over time, I grew very close to Jana + and her family and I am so grateful to have found such wonderful friends in the Stubbs family. I spoke with Jana + her mom many times over the past few months and Mrs. Stubbs made me feel like I was one of her own children, she is so warm and inviting.
